PENGUATAN KESETARAAN GENDER BERBASIS SEGREGASI KELAS (Studi Kasus di MTs Al-Khoirot Malang)

This study aims to reveal how the implementation of gender equality strengthening, the principal’s leadership style, and their implications are carried out in strengthening gender equality at MTs Al-Khoirot Malang. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the research findings was ensured through triangulation of data sources and data collection techniques. The results show that the implementation of gender equality strengthening at MTs Al-Khoirot Malang is carried out through comprehensive segregation between male and female students, including separate classrooms, libraries, teachers’ rooms, computer laboratories, fields, and extracurricular facilities. However, in the delivery of learning materials, there is no differentiation between male and female students. This is supported by professional teachers, adequate learning media, and supportive classroom facilities. The principal’s leadership is based on religious values in implementing gender equality education, which has implications for the achievement of gender equality in terms of access, control, participation, and the benefits received by students.
